Placement Therapist (PT)
Minimum education requirement – Some psychology/trauma-based education and somatic orientation with a desire to want to work with trauma informed clinicians aiming to deliver cutting edge trauma treatment with the support of some of the leading experts in the field, with the view to eventually being able to work as a community therapist who has the capacity and willingness to work one to one and leading groups as an active member of a team.
Commitment to care of one’s personal process though therapy, supervision, and self-care.
PT must be able to commit to a minimum of one full day per week.
Placements would be between 1-3 months initially with only x1 Placement Therapist on stage 1 at a time. Stage 2 would be 3-6-month period.
Clinical Director would be mentor to each Placement Therapist (PT) and would meet regularly (this will be scheduled by Operations). A review would then be written up and provided.
The PT would be scheduled to shadow groups and sessions where appropriate (dependant on skills) the schedule will be sent via email to them prior to their attendance by Operations.
Mandatory training will be set and must be achieved successfully to move up to the next scale (Clinical Director to sign post which training should be completed at what stage)
