I am so sorry that you have to go through this,, but sadly , it ecos my experience in London hospital and The Priory nonsense CBT they wanted to manipulate my feelings with this nonsense.

I have lived similar abusive experience, and worse, physically abused by staff , excessive force on me for complaining that I was not being believed.

These practices are called institutional abusive and psychological practices which is a negligent treatment and abuse and manipulation of feelings of a vulnerable patient, of blaming the patient for the failures and the institutional abusive practices of the services, which fall bellow reasonable standards and in breach of human rights .

The staff basically have not clue how to guide a patient through emotional pain and blame the patient for their emotional pain, and threats the patient with detention if they continue to complaint about no one being able to understand, because of their incompetence and poor training like in the UK, hardly any staff is train in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults from abuse in hospitals or the community, this statutory regulations tells the staff the type of behaviour that constitute to institutional abuse to a vulnerable patient, and they are not trained, beggars belief!

It is hell!

Well, actually it was one of the top American institutions which at the time prided themselves on 'treating trauma'... The good news is that they have absorbed some of this work in the meantime and that in general the message seems to be slowly dripping through. Change is slow, but we can help to make it certain.

Thank you. Khiron House is set up to be as safe a space as possible, in which transformations of many kinds are possible. We focus on what we can do, clinically, but also allow that there are other ways in which people heal and we wish to help them access all parts of that.

The NHS has funded some places at Khiron House, but this has always come from the doctors recommendation, and not yet from a patient asking for it, but there is always hope. Once enough people ask there may be a shift in funding.

Having read the above extract and been reminded of my own outflowing of overwhelming prolonged trauma pain I just want to say THANKYOU to Benjamin.

Also I so agree with Ros's comment that when there is such a tsunami of emotion time space and being held and loved is exactly what we need but usually don't get.

Fortunately sometimes we meet Angels that see our true need and are there for us letting us fall apart safely for the first time, not suffering such overwhelming pain alone. Through their trusting and expressing of Divine Love they invite us to enter that place of Loving Kindness so we may return reborn into who we truly are. Somehow ready to take another step on a journey of healing and realising the Beauty of Life and even something of our own potential.

I have a question about whether or not Khiron House provides for people that sort of space? And if so is there a way for people with almost no money to be funded?

I think you’re very brave to publish a book with this much personal feelings in it. I often wonder when people work in a field that had caused them pain in that past whether their work keeps them trapped in the bubble of pain or in that memory. I’d personally run a mile in the opposite direction.
